Photography is a form of magic.  Capturing ordinary and extraordinary moments that stand alone or are woven together to tell a story.

The story of a relationship.  A great night out.  A celebration.  A night with your favourite band.  The end of your schooling.  The beginning of  parenthood.  The big and the small moments in life.

My approach is simple. I enjoy getting to know my subjects and working with them. It might be in a natural setting or something more stylised. By  staying open to the possibilities and keeping it relaxed, the truly unique, memorable images emerge.

Telling stories and capturing moments through the lens began for me when studying photography in high school.  I now work with 3 full frame cameras and a fine mix of lenses.

Years of working in the dark, capturing images of my favourite bands, has given me a special talent for shooting in low light.  Some really beautiful  or interesting effects can be created this way.

My other obsession outside of photography is collecting vintage 1950s clothing and objects – providing access to items to incorporate into more  playful shoots if that’s a direction you want to go in.
